INLET NEAR VANNES, BRITTANY, FRANCE.

To the south of the 16th century town of Vannes, with its streets of colombage (half-timbered) houses, there is a series of inlets poking in from the sea. Some of them have sandy beaches where you can swim, and others are more suitable for mooring boats. The view of this particular inlet really appealed to me: hence the painting.
